This marks the highest rate since the three months ending in August 2021, and it reflects increases in the number of individuals unemployed for durations of 6 to 12 months and more than 12 months, compared to the prior period. Year-over-year, unemployment rose across all duration categories. In contrast, the number of employed individuals rose by 232,000, reaching a record high of 34.2 million, primarily fueled by a rise in full-time employment.
