Inflation expectations in the United States for the coming year, as measured by the University of Michigan's survey, decreased for the second consecutive month, reaching 4.6% in October 2025, down from 4.7% in September. This confirms the preliminary data. In contrast, the five-year inflation forecast was adjusted upward to a four-month peak of 3.9% in October, surpassing the initial estimate of 3.7%.
