The central bank reported that it acquired CNY 20 billion worth of government bonds last month. This move follows comments from its governor at a recent financial forum that suggested a revival in bond acquisitions. Additionally, in another announcement, the PBoC confirmed that it would execute CNY 700 billion in three-month outright reverse repos on November 5 to ensure liquidity within the banking system.
