Another central issue will be the future of tariffs imposed by Trump to curb fentanyl flows, following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to strike down those duties. Trump is scheduled to arrive in Beijing at the end of March, and the Paris meeting is viewed as a precursor to broader negotiations at the leaders’ summit.
