Chile’s industrial production contracted by 1.3% year-on-year in February 2026, after a 1.6% drop in January. This was the fifth consecutive month of decline, although the rate of contraction continued to ease. Manufacturing output fell 3.0%, moderating from a 3.8% decrease in the previous month. Mining production showed a slight recovery, edging up 0.2% after a 0.1% decline in January. Meanwhile, utilities output increased 0.5%, slowing from a 1.2% rise in the prior month.
