Construction output in Bulgaria rose by 8.0% year-on-year in February 2026, accelerating from a downwardly revised 2.8% increase in January. Strong growth was recorded in both building construction (16.8% vs. 7.7% in January) and civil engineering works (7.7% vs. 1.4%). Specialized construction activities continued to contract, though at a more moderate pace (-1.2% vs. -1.6%).

On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, total construction output increased by 3.1%, rebounding from an upwardly revised 1.8% decline in January. Growth strengthened in building construction (3.9% vs. 1.4%), while output returned to expansion in both civil engineering (3.3% vs. -1.6%) and specialized construction activities (1.9% vs. -5.5%).
