In the first quarter of 2026, industrial production in Belarus declined by 3.4% year-on-year, easing slightly from the 3.7% contraction recorded over the first two months. Output in mining and quarrying rose by 2.2%, while the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning expanded by 8.2%. In contrast, manufacturing output fell by 6.7%, and water supply, waste management and remediation activities edged down by 0.2%.
