The average rate for 30-year fixed mortgages in the US on loans up to $806,500 fell to 6.35% for the week ending April 17, 2026, down from 6.42% the previous week, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association’s (MBA) Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey.
