Switzerland’s official reserve assets continued to rise in early 2026, with the total increasing to 858.6 billion in March 2026, up from 856.0 billion recorded in February 2026. The latest figures, updated on 30 April 2026, point to a modest but sustained build-up in the Swiss National Bank’s reserves.
The 2.6 billion increase over the month suggests ongoing support for Switzerland’s external liquidity position and reflects the country’s continued role as a global safe-haven. While the pace of accumulation remains measured, the March reading marks another step up in the overall reserve level, reinforcing the strength of Switzerland’s financial buffers.
