Spain’s consumer confidence index climbed to 77.7 in April 2026, rebounding from a nearly three-and-a-half-year low of 66.9 in March, as concerns over the Middle East conflict and its potential economic fallout began to subside. Expectations among households rose sharply, with that sub-index jumping 15 points to 83.4, reflecting a less pessimistic view of the short-term economic outlook. Perceptions of the current economic situation also improved, as the corresponding sub-index increased by 6.5 points to 72.0.
