Finland’s producer price inflation strengthened in April 2026, with the Producer Price Index (PPI) rising 4.6% year-over-year, up from a 2.6% annual increase recorded in March 2026. The latest data, updated on 25 May 2026, point to a marked acceleration in price pressures at the producer level.
The figures are based on year-over-year comparisons, with the current reading reflecting how prices in April 2026 compare to those in April 2025. Similarly, the previous 2.6% figure measured the change in March 2026 relative to March 2025. The jump in the annual rate suggests that cost pressures for Finnish producers have intensified as the second quarter of 2026 gets underway, a development that may later filter through to consumer prices and corporate margins.
