Sweden’s producer prices accelerated sharply in April 2026, with the Producer Price Index (PPI) rising 4.7% year-over-year, up from 2.0% in March 2026. The data, updated on 26 May 2026, indicate a significant strengthening in pipeline inflation pressures at the factory gate.
Both readings are based on year-over-year comparisons, with April’s figure measured against April a year earlier, and March’s against the same month of the prior year. The more than twofold jump in the annual PPI rate suggests that cost pressures for Swedish producers have intensified notably over a short period, a development that could eventually filter through to consumer prices if sustained.
