European equity markets were poised to open higher on Monday, extending the previous session’s gains as risk sentiment improved. The shift in mood followed the suspension of mutual strikes between the US and Iran amid renewed diplomatic efforts. Reports indicate that President Donald Trump is open to restarting peace talks with Tehran, raising expectations that oil exports from the Middle East could gradually normalize. Crude prices fell sharply, easing fears about inflation and the trajectory of interest rates. In Europe, attention will center on Germany’s July Ifo Business Climate survey, alongside a busy corporate earnings calendar featuring AstraZeneca, LVMH, Michelin, Saipem, Italgas, and others. In premarket action, Euro Stoxx 50 futures were up 0.8%, while Stoxx 600 futures gained 0.6%.
