In June 2026, bank lending to Eurozone households increased by 3% year-on-year to €7.22 trillion, matching May’s pace and coming in slightly below market expectations of 3.1%. Lending to businesses grew by 4.0% in June, unchanged from the previous month. Overall private sector credit, covering both households and non-financial corporations, expanded by 3.9%.
