The British pound climbed to a 3-day high of 1.6634 against the franc and a 4-day high of 0.8915 against the European currency by about 1:00 am ET Friday. The pound was worth 1.6473 against the Swiss currency and 0.8962 against the euro at yesterday's close. Against the yen and the dollar, the British pound is trading at a 4-day high of 134.34 and 1.4850, respectively.
