A report by South Korea's Electronic Times on Friday said tech giant Samsung Electronics Co Ltd will supply Tesla Motors Inc. semiconductors.
It noted that Samsung would contract manufacture chips for self-driving features in Tesla vehicles.
Financial details were not disclosed.
The South Korean company in November said it would purchase Harman International Industries for $8 billion as part of its efforts to expand in the automotive market.
