The Empire manufacturing Survey for December was released at 8:30 am ET Monday. The headline indicator declined to -25.8 from -25.4 in the previous month. The dollar remained weaker against most major currencies following the report. As of 8:35 am ET, the greenback was quoted at 1.1673 against the Swiss franc, 1.5087 against the pound, 90.28 versus the Japanese yen and 1.3542 against the euro.
