The pound that rose sharply around 2:25 am ET Thursday pared some of its gains shortly against the currencies of Europe, US and Japan. The pound thus eased from a fresh 2-month high against the dollar and a new multi-day high against the yen. At present, the pound is worth 1.5180 against the dollar, 0.8332 against the euro and 134.09 against the yen.
