Against its South African counterpart, the dollar traded higher during New York deals on Monday. At around 11:00 am ET, the greenback climbed to 7.6776 versus the rand, which may be compared to last Friday's closing value of 7.5967. This set a 12-day high for the US currency. Thereafter, the pair reversed its direction and currently trading at 7.6393.
