After a slight gain in early morning deals on Monday, the US currency plunged against the Mexican peso in New York afternoon trading. At 3:10 pm ET, the greenback tumbled to 12.8645 versus the peso from early high of 12.9495. The pair that closed previous week's North American session at 12.9378, is now trading at 12.90.
