Croatia's industrial output growth continued to decline for the fourth month in June, official data showed Thursday.
Production fell 4% year-on-year in June, faster than the 3.4% fall in May, the Central Bureau of Statistics said. Production in manufacturing industry dropped further during the month, falling 5.3% annually. Manufacture of food products declined 5%.
Mining and quarrying output dipped 10.6% year-on-year, but at a slower pace than in the previous month. On the other hand, production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning increased 13% annually, faster than the 11.3% rise in May.
Month-on-month, production fell for the fifth straight month in June. The index dropped 2.7% compared to 0.3% fall in the previous month. Manufacturing output declined 0.1% on a monthly basis and production in mining and quarrying was down 3.8%. Production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, however, grew 2.2% month-on-month.
