Romania's exports increased in June from the previous year.
Exports value increased 29.1% year-on-year to EUR 3.31 billion in June, a report by the National Institute of Statistics showed on Monday. At the same time, imports value increased 26.5% to EUR 4.20 billion. On a monthly basis, exports and imports increased by 10.3% and 5.7%, respectively in June.
Thus, the trade balance showed a deficit of EUR 889.5 million in June, compared to a deficit of EUR 756.2 million deficit last year.
For the first six months of the year, exports value increased 25.8% compared to the same period of the previous year. During the period, imports value grew 19.3%. The trade deficit widened to EUR 4.71 billion from EUR 4.68 billion in the January to June period last year.
