Lithuania's gross domestic product grew an upwardly revised 1.3% year-on-year in the second quarter compared to 2.8% decline in the first quarter, Statistics Lithuania said Friday.
The earlier estimate showed a 1.1% annual growth in GDP in the second quarter. This was the first positive GDP figure since the third quarter of 2008.
On a quarterly basis, GDP rose an upwardly revised 6.9% during the April to June period after a 12.8% contraction in the first quarter, the final estimate showed. The earlier estimate was a 6.6% growth.
Sequentially, GDP increased a revised 3.2% on a seasonally and working day adjusted basis compared to the 2.9% estimated initially. In the previous quarter, the GDP fell 4%. Annually, the seasonally and working day-adjusted GDP rose 1.4%.
