The Canadian dollar staged sharp fall against major opponents at around 8:00 am ET Friday. As of now, the loonie is trading near a new multi-day low of 1.3497 against the euro and a new multi-week high of 0.9434 versus the Australian dollar, compared to yesterday's closing values of 1.3456 and 0.9380, respectively.
Against its US and Japanese counterparts, the loonie also edged down and currently trading near 1.0614 and 79.88, respectively.
