The Japanese yen that strengthened in Asian deals on Wednesday pared its gains during early European session against most major currencies. The yen thus eased from an 8-day high against the franc, 15-day high against the euro and a 1-week high against the Australian, New Zealand and Canadian dollars.

At present, the yen is worth 129.40 against the pound, 106.40 against the euro, 83.05 against the franc, 60.20 against the kiwi, 76.70 against the aussie and 79.80 against the loonie.
