News:

  • Sterling extended gains after the positive CBI data rising to $1.5896 against dollars, vs the $1.5875 before the data.
  • The CBI's monthly distributive trades survey's reported sales balance jumped to +49 in Sept from +35 in the prior month, marking the highest reading since May 2004. The expectations were of  +25 reading.
