2010.10.1501:17:00UTC+00Indian Rupee Soars To More Than 2-year High Against Dollar

The Indian rupee that opened slightly lower against the U.S. dollar in early deals on Friday rebounded shortly and reached 44.0250 at 11:50 pm ET. This set the highest point for the Indian currency since September 2008. If the rupee gains further, it may likely target the 43 level. At yesterday's close, the dollar-rupee pair was quoted at 44.0750.
