Eurozone manufacturing activity improved more than initially estimated in October, survey results from Markit showed Tuesday.
The final Purchasing Managers' Index for October rose to 54.6 in October from September's eight-month low of 53.7. The flash estimate for October was 54.1. A reading above 50 suggests expansion in the sector.
"An improvement in the PMI for the first time in three months provides much needed reassurance that manufacturing remains an important driver of the euro area recovery," Chris Williamson, chief economist at Markit said.
