American discount retailer Target on Thursday said Rick Gomez will succeed Jeff Jones, who left the company to join ride-hailing company Uber Technologies Inc., as chief marketing officer.
Gomez was Target's former senior-vice-president of brand and category marketing. His appointment is effective January 29.
In a statement, the Minnesota-based retailer said Gomez has played a key role in driving driving growth in Target's signature categories of baby, kids, style and wellness.
