Czech annual producer price inflation accelerated in October, a report by the Czech Statistical Office showed on Monday.
The producer price index, or PPI, rose 2.6% year-on-year in October, faster than a 2.4% rise in the previous month. Economists were looking for an increase of 2.8%.
On a monthly basis, the PPI remained unchanged in October, following a 0.3% rise in September. Prices of food products, beverages, tobacco rose 0.6%, while prices of 'coke, refined petroleum products' and 'transport equipment' decreased by 7% each.
Meanwhile, construction work prices dropped by 0.3% annually in October, same as as in the previous month. At the same time, construction material input prices were up 2.2%.
