The US currency declined further against the Swiss franc in New York afternoon deals on Thursday. The greenback fell to a fresh multi-day low of 0.9811 versus the franc by about 1:00 pm ET from previous session's high of 0.9897.
Against its Japanese counterpart, the greenback also edged down sharply and dropped to 83.53 as of 1:00 pm ET from early high of 84.07.
