Extending its 10-day winning streak, the UK's sterling advanced to 1.5905 against the US dollar around 5:55 am ET and this set the highest level for the pair since December 14, 2010.
If the pound acquires a few more pips, it may breach resistance close to 1.5915 and that could be its highest level in nearly two months. The pair that closed Friday's deals at 1.5863 is presently quoted at 1.5904.
