Snap Inc.'s Sriram Krishnan, one of the company's top ad executives, has left less than a month before its initial public offering.
Krishnan, who previously worked for Facebook, joined Snap a year ago to build out its ad tech offerings, such as its API.
A spokesperson for the social media company confirmed his departure but did not give further details.
Snap is expected to trade in the New York Stock Exchange starting March 2.
Krishnan helped Mark Zuckerberg's Facebook build its ad network, Audience Network.
Krishnan, who lives in San Francisco and had been commuting to the Venice Beach office of Snap each week, tweeted on Sunday that he wanted to travel less and be closer to his wife.
