At 1:30 am ET Thursday, French consumer price index for April is due for release. Ahead of the data, the euro showed mixed trading against its major counterparts. While the euro rose slightly against the pound, it moved sideways against the yen, franc and dollar.
At 1:25 am ET, the euro was worth 1.4227 against the greenback, 0.8693 against the pound, 115.51 against the yen and 1.2609 against the franc.
