Monday, Poland's Central Statistical Office announced that the gross domestic product or GDP rose 2.9% in fourth quarter, smaller than the 4.8% recorded in the previous quarter. Economists had predicted the growth to slow to 2.8%. A year ago, the GDP was up 6.5%.
On a sequential basis, the GDP grew 0.3% in the fourth quarter, compared with a 0.8% increase seen in the previous quarter.
