Monday, a report by Statistics Indonesia said consumer prices rose 8.6% year-on-year in February, slowing from a 9.17% rise in January. Consumer prices rose in line with economists' expectations in February.
On an annual basis, food ingredients showed the fastest rise in prices, increasing 13.06%. This was followed by an 11.25% rise in prices of food, beverages and tobacco.
Month-on-month, consumer prices increased 0.21% in February, following a 0.07% fall in January.
