Austria's unemployment rate rose to 8.3% in February from 6.8% recorded in the previous year, the Austrian Employment Agency, or AMS said Monday.
The total number of unemployed increased to 301,695 and the number of job seekers was 57,842. Unemployment was higher among people under the age of 25, an increase of 35.9% from the previous year.
A sharp rise in joblessness was observed in all provinces of Austria.
