The National Association of Realtors is scheduled to release its report on existing home sales for August at 10:00 am ET. Economists estimate existing home sales of 4.75 million for the month.
The US dollar held steady against its major counterparts ahead of the data. As of 9:55 am ET, the greenback was trading at 76.40 against the yen, 0.8952 against the Swiss franc, 1.3680 against the euro and 1.5607 against the pound.
