Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda advised against undermining the free trade and globalism, which he said have benefited several economies, especially emerging countries.
Although policymakers must contend with income gaps and poverty in some nations, Kuroda said Thursday he believes that a multilateral groundwork cultivating free trade will remain and that unwinding globalization and free trade is not the suitable approach.
The BOJ head said the central bank will maintain its relaxed monetary policy to attain their 2% inflation goal, adding inflation holds insufficient momentum with no precise sign despite improving economic prospects.
