The finance chiefs of America and Japan should handle the currency matters between the two countries.
Japan's finance leader Taro Aso stressed Thursday that he reconfirmed the issue with Treasury chief Steven Mnuchin during their talk while IMF and G20 meetings.
Donald Trump had the dollar was too formidable. But for Aso, he did not notice any trouble with the American president's remarks as Mnuchin later clarified that his statement did not plan to devalue the currency.
He added it was a huge success for Japan that G20 finance heads reaffirmed their pledge that unreasonable currency volatility was unacceptable.
