After hitting a new multi-month low of 5.9822 early in the Asian session, the Denmark currency gained ground against the US dollar during early trading on Wednesday. The Danish krone rose to 5.9375 against the greenback by 7:40 am Eastern Time. The pair that closed yesterday's deals at 5.9313 is currently quoted at 5.9429.
The Danish krone is pegged to the euro since 1 January 1999. Prior to the introduction of the euro, the Danish Krone was pegged to the German Mark. The reference rate for the euro-krone pair is at 7.4603.
