In early Asian deals on Thursday, the New Zealand dollar lost ground against its major rivals. The kiwi declined to 0.5040 versus the US dollar, 49.93 against the Japanese yen and 2.5124 against the euro by 6:30 pm Eastern Time Wednesday. The New Zealand dollar that closed Wednesday's New York session at 0.5057 against the greenback, 50.15 against the yen and 2.5065 against the euro is currently trading at 0.5047, 49.96 and 2.5087, respectively.
