Nokia ended its longstanding patent battle with Apple as the Finnish firm entered into a new patent license deal and sealed a business collaboration with the iPhone maker.
Both companies revealed their accord Tuesday but did not divulge more details. Nokia will get an upfront cash payment, as well as additional earnings from the tech giant.
Under their partnership, Apple would continue Nokia's digital health products in its online and retail stores while the Finnish manufacturer would give network offerings to the American company.
Nokia said the payment would be itemized in its second quarter books and would give an extensive report about its capital structure optimization project in the following quarter.
The strife between two entities began in December following they sued each other following an agreement for the usage of Nokia's patents inked in 2011 ended.
