The Japanese yen staged a sharp falls against major currencies at about 8:30 am ET Thursday after the releases of U.S. weekly jobless claims report for the week ended October 6th, trade balance data for August and import price index for September.
At present, the yen is worth new multi-day lows of 84.06 against the franc, 101.60, 78.55 against the dollar, 126.09 against the pound, 80.38 versus the loonie, 80.77 against the Aussie and 64.25 versus the kiwi.
