The National Association of Home Builders said in a report that the homebuilder confidence for October inched higher to 41 in October, in line with market expectations, following a reading of 40 in September.
The US dollar edged higher against most of its major opponents after the report. As of 10:03 am ET, the greenback was trading at 78.83 against the yen, 1.6123 against the pound, 0.9265 against the Swiss franc and 1.3055 against the euro.
