Following the release of a weaker-than-forecast eurozone's purchasing managers' index for October at 4:00 am ET, the euro extended downtrend against its major counterparts.
As of 4:02 am ET, the common currency was trading at 1.3774 against the US dollar, 134.08 against the yen, 0.85110 against the pound and 1.2291 against the Swiss franc.
