Chinese President Xi Jinping said that he is confident of a sustainable and healthy economic growth going forward while the government presses ahead with further restructuring of the economy.
"There are sufficient grounds for supporting China's economic development," Xi told a group of business leaders on Saturday, according to a report from Xinhua. "We are confident that the Chinese economy will keep growing in a sustained and healthy way."
He also reaffirmed the government's commitment to push ahead with economic reforms.
China is working on transforming the mode of development, adjusting the economic structure, advancing new-form of industrialization, encouraging the use of information technology and promoting agricultural modernization, Xi was quoted as saying.
