The U.S. producer price index for October and weekly jobless claims for the week ended November 16 were released at 8:30 am ET Thursday. After these reports, the greenback edged up against other major currencies.
The greenback was trading at 1.3455 against the euro, 100.93 against the yen, 1.6120 against the pound and 0.9157 against the franc around 8:32 am ET.
