Belgium's consumer confidence weakened for a second consecutive month in April, survey data from the National Bank of Belgium showed Thursday.
The consumer confidence indicator fell to -9 from -8 in March. In February, the score was -4, unchanged from January.
Households' view on the overall economic situation deteriorated for a third month, with the relevant index falling to 4 from 7 in March.
Consumers' assessment of their financial situation also weakened, with the index dropping to -1 from zero.
Sentiment regarding unemployment stabilized, after sharply deteriorating in the previous month. The corresponding index score was 35, unchanged from March.
The view on saving capacity was unchanged in April, following a sharp decline in March. The index reading was -3.
