The British currency climbed back against the U.S dollar in the late Asian session on Monday.
The pound rose to a 4-day high of 1.6803 against the U.S dollar, off early low of 1.6781. The pair was worth 1.6782 at last week's close.
The pound is likely to face resistance around the 1.69 area.
